Demand Media is seeking inventive, ambitious go-getters fascinated by the new media evolution who want to work in a fun environment with an energetic team. This position is located in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain financial and operating metrics tracking and forecasting
- Optimize and report on new investment performance and returns
- Summarize and present results to senior management and make recommendations regarding capital allocations
- Ad-hoc projects (including presentations)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in Finance, Economics or equivalent)
- 1 â€" 2 years of experience in a business analytics/finance role
- Good business judgment and ability to synthesize, analyze and extract implications from data
- Ability to problem-solve creatively
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- SQL skills a plus
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter
- Success working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Must have great attitude, be self-motivated and self-organized, and hungry to make an impact and constantly develop in a fast growing organization
