Ellie Mae business analysts are responsible for the success of Ellie Mae mortgage automation software products from inception through development and release, continuing with ongoing maintenance and enhancement. Product managers proactively work with customers and prospects to incorporate product feedback with their in-depth knowledge of changing mortgage industry and technology trends. They ensure Ellie Mae products exceed the needs of our customers and remain the most innovative in the industry. Further, they collaborate with multiple teams at Ellie Mae to ensure our customers are aware of and trained on new products and product enhancements
The Business Analyst-Industry will define requirements for features and products with specific focus on mortgage banking user personas, content, and workflow.
Conduct research to solidify detailed feature requirements through user stories and/or functional specifications.
Work with sales, customer service and customers to understand issues and minor enhancement requests.
Convert large user stories into smaller, detailed user stories that developers, user experience, and quality assurance resources can digest.
Coordinate with sprint team to deliver enhancements and bug fixes.
Maintain up to date knowledge regarding mortgage industry and technology trends as well as the Ellie Mae product line and competitor products.
Skills and Experience
4 or more years of mortgage banking experience, especially within operations management, underwriting, or loan origination system administration required.
2 or more years as a software business analyst preferred.
Must have experience developing and detailing software product requirements.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, quality assurance, support, marketing and sales.
Flexible and able to adapt within a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor?s degree in business, computer science, or an engineering discipline required. MBA preferred.
