Business Analyst Axioma Inc.
Axioma is seeking an experienced business analyst to join the product management team in our Atlanta office. This position reports to the Senior Director of Product Management.The Business Analyst will have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to facilitate product specification in an agile development environment.
We use Scrum and other agile practices, and expect business analysts to participate in improving our processes and practices. It is essential that you can work collaboratively in our team environment.
Responsibilities:
Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Identify requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis.
Solicit requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
Decompose requirements into user stories suitable for use in an agile development environment.
Collaborate with the development and testing teams to create acceptance criteria suitable for implementing and testing user stories.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers, subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and developers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
Serve as the conduit between the product management team and the software development team.
Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution.
4-6 years experience in building and specifying mission critical business applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
Solid mathematical aptitude.
Knowledge of financial markets or investment management tools a plus.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies helpful.
Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.
Process driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.
Familiarity with agile project management tools such as jira/greenhopper a plus.
Experience with specification tools such as , FitNesse, Cucumber, JBehave, RBehave, and easyb desirable.
