The Business Analyst (BA) reports to the SVP/CTO and is responsible for defining and prioritizing the business needs of Streamline Health?s Enterprise Content Management solution; AccessAnyWare. The BA is also responsible for collaborating with team members, Quality Assurance (QA), and the Solution Manager to develop project specifications. Additionally the BA will gather requirements, create design and technical specifications, and document business processes. The BA is the subject matter expert in the solution they support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, QA engineers and the project team to understand the Solution Vision and Roadmap and transfer that into the solution backlog.
Define detailed user stories with relevant acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Solution Manager and project team.
Work closely with the Solution Manager to create and manage the backlog of clearly defined and prioritized user stories.
Facilitate User Story sizing sessions with the Scrum Master and project team.
Create Functional Design Specifications to support business process requirements.
Support team in developing test cases and test scripts (automated and manual), based on acceptance criteria, in support of test driven development.
Validate and approve completed user stories prior to a production release.
Work closely with project team to support the Agile development process and Solution Lifecycle Management (SLM).
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
3+ years of experience in the Healthcare industry.
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
Relevant industry experience with Content Management Solution software is a plus.
Proven Agile development environment experience.
Ability to create user stories, process flows and wireframes to clearly communicate functional requirements.
Experience conducting requirement gathering sessions and then concisely documenting the outcome.
Proven experience managing and prioritizing a backlog of user stories.
Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering quality output.
Excellent communication, presentation and analytic skills.
Outstanding rapport building skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Solid understanding of web development environments and the implications of issues within web-based applications.
Desire to take ownership and pro-actively secure the objectives of the business.
Must be able to travel up to 10%, as needed.
Experience with TFS a plus.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word and Office.
