Business Analyst SmartDrive Systems

Primary Objective of Position:The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data generated by our product and providing the results and reports to various internal groups, as well as external customers. The analyst will also be responsible for creating prototype customer-facing reports that will subsequently be integrated into our product.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform value proposition analyses that assess the impact of the SmartDrive solution on the customer business.
Perform data-based analyses and present decision makers with insights into specific business problems.
Perform ad-hoc analyses of data collected and generated by our product to support questions raised by internal and customer stakeholders.
Assist the internal users with interpreting the available data and existing reports.
Develop internal and customer-facing reports using Business Intelligence tools and Excel.
Assist the Quality Assurance team with validating the quality and accuracy of new datasets collected and generated by our SmartRecorder device.
Perform root cause analyses of anomalies and outliers in the data.
Assist with troubleshooting existing decision support tools.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree required; MBA preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Exceptional critical thinking skills.
Strong business and technical background.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts, techniques and tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with writing SQL queries in a data mart / data warehouse environment for analysis and data retrieval.
Proficiency with writing reports with using one or more Business Intelligence tools.
Proficiency with Excel-based data analysis and PivotTables in particular.
Familiarity with the statistical tools and methods.
Experience with a statistical tool (R, SPSS, or SAS) is a plus.
Experience with scripting and programming is a plus.
