POSITION SUMMARY
This position is focused on supporting the Avanir Master Data Management (MDM) and the Sales Force Automation (SFA) systems and processes with special attention to establishing and maintaining data quality standards for commercial data and tactical program execution.
The incumbent will manage add, changes and deletes of customers within Avanirs Master Data Management System, administer the Sales Force Automation System (SFA), standardize external data lists, facilitate integration of data between Avanirs internal and external systems, and perform ad hoc sales force analyses.
This field-facing role has substantial interaction with the sales force and external vendors. Successful performance of this role is critical to the efficiency and satisfaction of the sales force and to the continued effective use of expanding data sources supporting the Nuedexta product launch. The position reports to the Associate Director of Business Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Master Data Management (MDM) System Support.
Execute physician research to maintain accuracy and currency of HCP best addresses, identifiers, specialty, State License Numbers, and other demographic information for Master Database Management (MDM) system, and related internal systems.
oStandardize, de-duplicate and validate new customers
oSupport COPA (change of primary address), moves off territory, DMR (dead, moved, retired), other investigations
oValidate customers for sample eligibility and PDMA compliance
oIntegrate data from market and field based marketing promotions (website, congresses, etc)
Sales Force Automation Administration and Application Support.
Provide SFA administration and support activities which include:
oAdminister user profiles, security and access rights
oMaintain alignment rules and minor alignment changes
oAssist in application upgrade projects including: execution of test scripts, issue tracking, user documentation and user training
New Data Sources. Assist in the end to end implementation of new data sources from data cleansing, integration between MDM, SFA and reporting systems, and report design.
Sample Accountability. Coordinate with PDMA and SFA vendors to ensure sample inventory and field sample activity meets PDMA compliance standards.
Ad Hoc Inquiries. Gather requirements, design queries, extract data and provide analysis for various regional and national projects to improve sales force efficiency and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelors degree in Business Management, IT, or quantitative discipline.
Experience
2+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience in analytical role is required. Experience with sales force automation platforms and/or pharmaceutical data and/or sales reporting platforms preferred. SDLC experience a plus.
Skills
Excellent computer/technical skills, specifically, advanced use of Excel formulas and macros and SQL/Access querying ability.
Good business sense needed to understand business applications of pharmaceutical data sources.
Must work with meticulous accuracy and be able to manage multiple assignments with timely output.
Strong written and oral communication skills needed to communicate technical data effectively to field sales team and across multiple internal functions.
