The successful candidate will have strong analytical and facilitation skills to support existing software products and new software development in a global organization.
You will lead high visibility projects and be a liaison between our clients and development teams to improve the quality of project deliverables.
You will be responsible for producing and leading efforts to create documentation including: business requirements, functional specifications, user requirements and traceability matrix.
The individual will understand client?s (internal and external) overall business and technical solution needs and translate those needs into documented business requirements, then into functional requirements using multiple, required methods of documentation ? context diagrams, process flows, use cases, business requirements, user stories, functional requirements, mapping documents, etc.
Involved in the early stages of projects as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to understand and lead the documentation of initiative scope, business requirements and functional requirements
As the SME, facilitate requirements elicitation meetings and work with the business stakeholders to ensure that all of the business needs are being met
Manage the project execution (budget, schedule, deliverables, etc.) to deliver the desired outcome to the project?s stakeholders.
Functional Testing ? Unit, Integration, Sanity/Smoke, System, Regression, End-To-End, User Acceptance and Deployment Testing
Develop and implement test plans, test cases and, when appropriate, automated test suites.
Perform an analysis on defects and enhancements to determine severity and priority as well as overall validity of the defect.
Accomplishes goals assigned by management
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, etc.
Work with the development/operational team as they help to resolve difficult customer issues with existing products.
Understand the functional requirements of applications in relation to business changes in order to evaluate risk and impact to supported business processes.
Contribute to a culture of new idea generation, calculated risk-taking and knowledge-sharing within team and broader organization.
Identify, present and implement process and policies that will improve delivery and client relationships
Contribute innovative approaches in the development of business strategies
Leverage his/her experiences and knowledge of software architecture and software development best-practices to oversee the development team during the execution phase of the project.
Communicate clearly and maintain professional relationships across TEM and the wider organization.
Work with multiple global teams and be able to clearly articulate thoughts on project milestones and deliverables.
Provide status updates to management teams within TEM Practice and VGE Teams
Must possess solid business acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and social skills.
Must have the ability to bridge the business/IT divide in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding and trust.
Must have the ability to facilitate group sessions and model business processes (both current state and future state) to identify areas of improvement are a must.
Requirements development (use cases, functional specifications, user interface specifications, etc.) and object-oriented analysis.
Use of a relational database, experience designing a SQL Server 2008 a plus but not required.
Strong SQL query skills and basic knowledge of data management techniques
Knowledge in the following software technologies:
C#, design patterns,
IIS, SQL 2005, MSMQ, relational database design
Microsoft Visual SourceSafe and Subversion (SVN).
TCP/IP, SSL, OOA/OOD, XML, XSD, ASP.NET, FLEX, JAVA
Bachelor?s Degree in a business or computer-related field preferred.
Telecom experience highly desirable.
Experience as technical lead of a software project a huge plus but not necessarily required
At least 3+ years? experience in any of the following areas:
