Primary Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be take a leading role in selling I-Behavior?s Database Enhancement Solutions (DES)
offerings to marketers and market research organizations across a wide variety of vertical industries, to
specifically-identified I-Behavior member companies, and to and through the broader WPP network. In
addition, you will have responsibility for the successful management and oversight of production orders for your
book of business. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Identifying, prospecting, selling and closing new business opportunities in pursuit of established sales
targets
Developing a sales pipeline, reporting sales forecasts, and providing updates to communicate success
against goals and sales quotas
Understanding a client?s marketing objectives as they relate to testing, acquiring and utilizing third-party
database enhancement solutions
Understanding a client?s marketing needs in order to effectively cross-sell and up-sell DES products
Interacting across the broader WPP network of companies to identify, prospect, sell and close new
business
Developing, submitting and monitoring DES-related production jobs in support of your book of business
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A track record of success as a ?hunter? in selling and closing high-dollar sales to enterprise-scale
companies
An ability to establish relationships at multiple levels within a customer account, including executives
A history of success in achieving and exceeding annual quotas of $1 million and greater
An established record of engaging in long sales cycles (greater than 6 months)
An ability to build and manage a pipeline and communicate up-to-date status
An orientation toward detail, with the ability to follow and monitor established processes
Experience in database marketing, direct marketing, data and/or list sales would be extremely useful. Solution
selling experience would be considered a plus. This position requires travel on behalf of the company. The
expectation is that about 25% of your time will be spent in face-to-face meetings with clients and at least 40%
of your time will be on the phone, with the remaining time spent on monitoring production jobs
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
3-5 years experience in marketing or advertising
Hands-on, motivated self-starter with ability to take direction and manage tasks with minimal
supervision within an energized, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), presentation and listening skills
Flexible and resourceful
