The Business Development Executive will be responsible for strategically and tactically positioning GlobalScholar products and services to increase market share by acquiring new clients and growing existing relationships.
Develops, builds, and manages client relationships while initiating interaction to secure business; assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients and/or prospects including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations; serves as the company representative to clients and prospects.
Key Duties / Responsibilities

Identifies and qualifies prospect accounts within assigned area. Responsible for identifying/uncovering the appropriate decision maker(s) within the prospect account. Establishes relationships with Superintendent and Cabinet level decision makers, uncovering business needs of decision makers while positioning and selling GlobalScholar products and services. 70%
Represents GlobalScholar at national education conferences, networking with strategic district decision makers and presenting GlobalScholar solutions as part of conference agenda. 5%
Manages Existing Customer Base to support retention and incremental growth 15%
Assists Sales and Marketing leadership with any special projects as assigned. 10%
Education & Knowledge Required
Master's degree preferred.
Knowledge of K-12 educational solutions and market required
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
5+ years experience in direct sale preferably in the Education technology industry.
Previous business development experience required with proven success in obtaining new mid and upper- tier level businesses.
Excellent communication skills and ability to network at the executive level.
Ability to determine what is important/applicable to the client
Good Organization Skills
Creativity in building solutions to address prospect needs
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Exceptional Listening skills required
Ability to travel 50-75%.
Industry knowledge is required
