THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Business Analysts provide quantitative support, business understanding and a strategic perspective to our to teams throughout the organization. As a data-loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics expert in the areas of business development and business operations.
You weave stories with meaningful insight from data while building and maintaining key financial models. You conduct market research on new potential business models and work with engineering, product and business development to execute on existing and new models. As a self-starter, you relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to your team lead or the executive office the next. Your analyses and insights will have a true impact on Coursera?s overall strategy.
We're looking for business-thinkers who can embed themselves into our team, and optimize our current business while driving us to the next wave of growth. The role will require you to:
Own short term operating plan used for resource allocation decisions and financial forecasting
Own university report generation for revenue / profit sharing
Facilitate the development of a data-driven culture through defining / refining key metrics for Coursera to track on a regular basis
Own long term business model used to evaluate potential revenue streams
Conduct market research and analysis in support of current business models / partnerships (e.g. supporting strategy for Signature Track)
Conduct market research and evaluation of new business models
Execute on pilots with new business models (e.g. executing pilots with corporate partners, managing potential corporate partner relationships)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and impeccable business judgment.
High proficiency in Excel (experience and excitement in working with and manipulating large data sets, financial modeling skills).
?Excellent athlete? with the ability to juggle a range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate in detail or at a high level with engineers, business leaders and external partners.
Ability to clearly and concisely and present information to peers, internal partners and executives.
Passion for education.
Great at cross department coordination (need to gather inputs from the organization).
2 - 3 years strategy consulting experience
