BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER Belkin Corporation
Belkin?s WeMo is the most approachable entry point to the smart home; Belkin is leading the growth of this category into the mass market. The Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Manager role is pivotal to the 2nd phase of growth of WeMo as an ecosystem.
What you?ll do
You will be responsible for growing the WeMo business globally by signing up high value partners to grow the WeMo ecosystem and identifying additional connected home partnership and alliances opportunities for WeMo and Belkin
As a critical member of a small team, this highly visible position is primarily responsible for building a broad network of potential partners and identifying and building commercial relationships with high value targets in order to develop new business, partnership and investment opportunities. You will have the drive and passion to generate multiple opportunities and the wherewithal to thoughtfully recommend those opportunities that will carry Belkin and WeMo to the next level.
How you?ll do it
Create and implement an active outbound WeMo partnership program and secure follow-on partners
Drive and Support partners through contract and project initiation
Negotiate and secure partnerships with 3rd party ecosystems
Interface with Belkin legal, sales, PM, finance, and cross functional teams to support the above activities
Maintain intelligence on the connected home eco-system including retailer strategies, main and emerging competitive solutions and prevailing partnership models
What you?ll need
Demonstrated partner relationship and business development skills,
Comfortable independently driving conversation at the executive level
Strong sense of urgency and have a high bias for action while making sound recommendations based upon a combination of analyses, experience and judgments.
Must have passion for and working knowledge of consumer electronics/technology
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Have the ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
What you?ve done
4 year undergrad degree, MBA preferred
3-5 years full-time work experience with proven success in corporate development, business development,
Strong preference for those with negotiating experience
Working knowledge of product management / development process a plus
International experience and language skills a plus
