BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE BioInformatics
The Business Development Associate (BDA) will work in our Arlington, VA office and is responsible for identifying and managing numerous prospect opportunities in the Life Sciences industry. He/She will deliver impactful and persuasive messages that capture BioInformatics value proposition and will partner with the Business Development Director (BDD) to provide support throughout the sales process. The BDA will operate as a key partner to the BDD in growing BioInformatics? revenue through new business sales and by growing existing client relationships.
Generate leads and set new meetings with prospective clients for the BDD.
Contact prospects and clients via telephone, email and social media to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
Assemble, create and mail out marketing materials (in partnership with the BDD & Marketing team) to prospective clients.
Provide timely follow-up to prospects and clients.
Consistently meet and exceed goals, including individual monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance goals.
As appropriate, leverage internal resources to help drive and close new opportunities with the BDD.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of BioInformatics? business and value proposition and the ability to effectively articulate it internally and especially to prospects and clients.
Maintain and update prospect/client information, including relevant contact information, correspondence, inquiries, etc. in the BioInformatics? database.
Adhere and conform to all BioInformatics? ethical and professional expectations.
Partner with BDD to solicit feedback on client experience throughout service delivery experience and work to improve service delivery with internal stakeholders.
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision makers at client organizations.
Proactively identify opportunities to engage clients in new research opportunities.
Other responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications & Attributes:
Exceptional record of achievement in a relevant revenue role (sales, account management, etc.);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail;
Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with ability and willingness to learn complex subject matter quickly;

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor?s degree from a top tier University (public or private) with a minimum 2.75 GPA in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related Science field.
Minimum Experience: ?0 - 2 years of full-time telesales or inside sales experience or a demonstrated track record of previous leadership and competitive interests (sports, competition, etc.).? ?
