Business Development Associate Epitomics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for business development, sales and project management of custom antibody projects. In addition, this position will act as lead technical advisor on planning and implementing custom projects so as to drive the projects to major milestones and successful project completion. This position will be expected to complete scientific and technical tasks on aggressive timelines and to work as part of a team on varied tasks with changing priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and grow existing customer base and generate new business in a specified sector or territory.
Assess the technical and business potential of incoming inquiries and convert them into new custom projects.
Working individually or with marketing team to proactively reach out to potential new customers.
In collaboration with customer, provide scientific input on project design and generate detailed and executable project proposals.
Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget.
Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure the smooth progress and successful completion of each project.
Provide project updates and collect feedback from customers.
Comply with all safety and quality standards.
A Ph.D degree in Life Sciences is required.
0-3 years of experience in the field or related area required.
Broad knowledge and experience in life science related research.
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with attention to details and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
Ability to manage changes and priorities, and to coordinate project resources.
Prior sales/business development experience or project management experience preferred but not required.
Must be able to establish strong working relationships within the company, and with outside collaborators and customers.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
