Business Development Associate/Project Manager Epitomics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position will act as lead technical advisor on planning and implementing custom projects so as to drive the projects to major milestones and successful project completion. This position will be expected to complete scientific and technical tasks on aggressive timelines as well as manage associate project managers and work as part of a team on varied tasks with changing priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and grow existing customer base and generate new business in the biotech/pharma sector.
Proactively identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
In collaboration with customer, provide scientific input on project design and generate detailed and executable project proposals.
Assess the technical and business potential of all incoming projects and new business.
Manage projects within established scope, schedule, and budget.
Actively work with existing customer base to maintain and grow revenue potential.
Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure the smooth progress of each project through major milestones and successful project completion.
Provide project updates and reports as well as collect feedback from customers.
Foster and grow IVD IHC antibody sales to existing OEM partners. Establish new corporate accounts and OEM partners for IVD IHC antibodies in pathology diagnostic sector.
Comply with all safety and quality standards.
A Ph.D. in Life Sciences with broad knowledge and experience in life science related research is required.
3+ years of experience in the field or related area required.
Working experience in an industry setting is preferred and ability to research and assimilate scientific information is a plus.
Prior sales/business development experience, or project management experience is preferred.
Previous experience in immunohistochemistry/pathology diagnostics market is preferred.
Working experience with ISO9001 or ISO13485 quality systems is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with attention to details and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively with limited supervision.
Must be able to establish strong working relationships within the company, and with outside collaborators and customers.
Ability to manage changes and priorities, and to coordinate project resources.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
Travel up to 5%.
