Business Development Executive - Beijing, China Calxeda, Inc.
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position requires a self-starter with the ability to build and grow business in China. In the role of the China Business Development Executive at Calxeda, you will utilize your established technical expertise and leadership to capture the leading IPDC and telecom company's imagination and translate their requirements into a compelling datacenter roadmap. A high priority will be placed on connecting local server ODMs and OEM platforms with end user opportunities and driving them to revenue at scale. Understanding and linking datacenter, cloud, telecom, and Internet provider project workloads, applications, and requirements with OxM designs is critical.
The China Business Development Executive will be expected to travel throughout the region on a regular basis and work closely with their colleagues in Taiwan and other territories. You will ensure that all client experiences with Calxeda are positive, and that early assessment projects turn into large-scale deployments and lasting relationships. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated track record of delivering innovative datacenter solutions that include server, storage, networking, and software technologies. With your industry experience you will be expected to contribute to the program from day one. The Business Development Executive will report to the China Country Manager.
--Maintain and grow a pipeline of end-users interested in Calxeda, and turn that interest into commitment to evaluate and then deploy Calxeda technology at significant scale.
--Maintain responsibility for detailed planning of customers' early system delivery, support, and evaluation of Calxeda-based systems from our OxMs.
--Help create the end-user success stories that will feed our marketing programs and enable our OxMs to sell.
--Connect and close on ODM and OEM server/rack sockets tied to end user projects
--Develop and Maintain High Level Relationships with Key Accounts.
--Develop and Forecast Revenue Targets
--Determine Local End User Datacenter Account Targets and Penetration Strategy.
--Provide Input to Marketing on Regional Projects/Trends/Requirements.
--Manage opportunity data in Calxeda CRM System.
--Meet Revenue and Pipeline Progression Objectives.
--Bachelors in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or other equivalent market experience/degree.
--7 yrs Sales/Marketing experience in the DataCenter, Internet Provider, Server, Telecom or Networking Market.
--Previous experience with both hardware and software server technologies
--Knowledge and experience with local China server ODM and OEMs.
--Knowledge and experience with local Internet Provider and Datacenters.
--Excellent written and verbal English skills.
--Willingness to travel frequently to visit customers.
