Business Development Manager Epitomics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED This position will be responsible for understanding the market, identifying potential business opportunities to generate new custom projects, and maintaining and growing existing customer base. In addition, this position will act as lead technical advisor on planning and implementing custom projects so as to drive the projects to major milestones and successful project completion. This position will be expected to complete scientific and technical tasks on aggressive timelines and to work as part of a team on varied tasks with changing priorities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize market and business understanding and market intelligence via networks of internal and external resources to identify, evaluate potential business opportunities for growth, consistent with strategic objectives.
Assess the technical and business potential of all incoming projects and new business.
Actively work with existing customer base to maintain and grow revenue potential.
Proactively identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
In collaboration with customer, provide scientific input on project design and generate detailed and executable project proposals.
Work closely with laboratory staff to ensure the smooth progress of each project through major milestones and successful project completion.
Provide project updates and reports as well as collect feedback from customers.
Comply with all safety and quality standards.
A Ph.D. in Life Sciences with solid training and a strong publication record is required.
3+ years of experience in the field or related area required.
Experience in antibody development and applications, especially in the design and development of immune-assays and GLP compliance is a plus.
Working experience in an industry setting is preferred and ability to research and assimilate scientific information is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with attention to details and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively with limited supervision.
Must be able to establish strong working relationships within the company, and with outside collaborators and customers.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
