Business Development Manager Axeda Corporation

Axeda is looking for a talented Business Development Manager to manage major channel partners of Axeda. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing programs to maximize revenue from channel partners. As an internal advocate for the channel partners, you will work closely with the Axeda marketing organization to insure that appropriate lead generation and relationship-building programs are implemented. Responsibilities/Duties:
Work to facilitate deal closure with Channel Partner (CP):
Build strong relationships at the C-Level with Axeda channel partners
Deliver assigned channel sales quota
Develop field-level relationships with channel partners
Manage multiple sales pipelines
Identify common sales targets with channel partner
Engage Axeda and CP sales teams on identified targets and drive Axeda/CP field on identified targets
Develop and manage partner success plans and document in SalesForce.com CRM system
Demand Creation with Marketing:
Work with marketing team to provide input into CP related joint collateral
Coordinate linkage of Axeda and CP web sites
Coordinate field marketing activities with CPs, including regional webinars and seminars
Work with the marketing team to provide CP success stories
Promote and implement promotional incentive/spiff programs for CP sales reps
Represent Axeda at regional and national marketing events e.g. trade shows
Channel Enablement:
Train and incentivize channel sales teams - spiff programs/morivational material
Coordinate sales and technical training programs and events with CP
Participate in CP Sales Meetings and Sales Kick Off events
Schedule QBRs and implement semi-annual roadmap reviews
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
Consultative mindset / approach in partnering with customers
Ability to travel 25-30% of the time
Demonstrated record of attaining or exceeding assigned target sales quotas
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving skills required
Innovative, intuitive, responsive, organized and analytical
Sales fundamentals including presentation skills, account analysis and development and sales prospecting are required
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors' degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years experience working with reseller, channel partners and value added resellers (VAR)
Consistent track record of hitting or exceeding quotas
