The Business Development Manager, is responsible for developing and executing innovative sales strategies for NSi?s DOD and U.S. Intelligence community customers and prospects.
Create and implement a strategic DOD sales plan in conjunction with manager and corporate channel management personnel.
Work with key resellers, partners, and system integrators to identify and develop new business opportunities and build pipeline.
Develop, manage, and report on a sales pipeline within the territory; gather, monitor, and present sales forecasts.
Create and implement vertical government solutions with NSi?s product suite.
Develop and maintain external relationships with partners and customers to foster growth.
Develop and maintain internal relationships with other functional teams; adhere to Company best practices and standards.
Knowledge of enterprise software implementation
5+ years of experience selling software solutions to U.S. Federal Government
Ability to set challenging goals, monitor progress, and ensure results are achieved as planned
Proven track record of success; ability to meet and exceed quarterly and annual targets
Outstanding organizational and process skills to ensure top priorities are consistently being pursued; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel at least 50%
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience (preferably in business or a technical field)
Understanding of channel sales and how to work with partners in team selling situations; ability to develop new partners and provide them with the skills to become established sellers of NSi solutions
Demonstrated command of the industry with the confidence to present solutions and their business benefits, including the ability to differentiate offerings from competition based on all key perspectives (i.e., features, pricing, tactic, etc.)
Strong technical background
Experience with Federal contract vehicles (e.g. GSA, SEWP) and understanding of Federal procurement process
Experience writing proposals
Experience with document management and content management (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentation)
Existing relationships within U.S. Federal Government (preferably Department of Defense)
