Qvidian, the market leader in sales effectiveness applications, is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing and successful biz dev team. Along with the marketing/demand generation team, the business development team owns ?top of the funnel? efforts and activity, and is focused on driving net-new, early-stage pipeline for Qvidian. The Business Development Manager will help lead these efforts.
Critical to the success of achieving Qvidian?s sales and business objectives, the Business Development Manager will assume a ?Player/ Coach? role responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and objectives of Qvidian?s business development team, as well as manage his/her own individual sales objective.

Responsibilities include:
"Coach" Responsibilities:
Lead existing team of five Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to ensure individual and team objectives of daily/monthly/quarterly prospecting tasks and sales objectives are successfully achieved; monitor & hone business development policies & procedures to ensure success for team and company.
Enable ongoing improvement of BDR team effectiveness; share biz dev best practices & methodologies; work collectively, and 1:1 with team to continually refine prospecting and sales efforts & tactics.
Maintain, monitor and, as needed, realign BDR sales territories to ensure balanced coverage and success within all sales regions; work with BDRs to develop and hone account penetration strategies to achieve defined goals.
Complete management duties, including: attracting, training, and retaining talented BDRs; managing HR-related areas (paid time off, employee reviews, etc.).
"Player" Responsibilities:
Deliver high-value, qualified leads for our sales effectiveness applications, to field sales via:
Traditional prospecting tactics: cold-calling, emailing, networking, and using other socially savvy techniques that engage prospects and generate initial interest in Qvidian applications.
Follow-up on marketing-generated leads (including leads from tradeshows, webinars, email campaigns, and other on-going marketing programs).
Understand the critical "pains" of our target prospect---sales & marketing leaders---and paint the picture of what "better" looks like with Qvidian.
Maintain accurate and current information in Salesforce.com.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience managing a team; 3+ years of inside/business development sales experience; software or SaaS sales experience a plus
As comfortable prospecting into accounts as leading a team meeting
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales objectives
Ability to adapt selling style to differing audiences and varying buying agendas
Outstanding communication skills -- both oral (phone) and written; must be articulate, crisp, concise and possess excellent listening skills
Ability and willingness to learn -- and to implement and provide feedback/lessons learned -- within a fast-growing sales organization
Tenacious, determined, and hard-working with a commit to teamwork and personally accountable
