SafeNet?s technology partners are a critical component of how we go to market to reach enterprise customers. The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and monetizing relationships with key technology partners in the Americas of all sizes?from our largest strategic alliances to emerging companies needing encryption, key management and authentication to complete their solution. The Business Development Manager Responsible for creating business relationships and generating sales leads with high-level contacts often through face-to-face and client site visits. He/she will manage ?sell to? / OEM; ?sell through? / resale; and ?sell with? / meet in the field/channel relationships with SafeNet technology partners. He/she should maintain ongoing business relationship with current industry clients to facilitate future partnerships and sales.
This position will be a paid base salary and a sales commission plan commensurate with experience and performance.
Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing
6+ years of business development or sales support experience
Experience in managing technology partners, OEM relationship, and/or strategic alliances
Ability to manage and achieve against a sales plan and quota
Excellent knowledge of all areas of business operations
Ability to resolve complex problems
Experience in the information security market
Excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent PC skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for creating business relationships with high level contacts often through face-to-face and client site visits
Maintains positive partner relationship to maximize partnership satisfaction
Develop relationship to monetize partner relationship through OEM, resale, meet in the field or meet in the channel relationships
Establish a vision and plan with partner for long term strategic relationship (when applicable)
Develops relationships with partners through dinners, outings, etc.
Acts and liaison between the company and partners
Alerts partners to new or improved products/services
Relays partner feedback to product management staff
Negotiates issues between company and partner
