Business Development - Mobile Publishers Appia
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Based on solid commercial momentum in the mobile app distribution market, Appia is now recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager for the exploding mobile application distribution and advertising market. (This position can sit in either San Francisco, CA or Durham, NC).
The Appia Business Development team is responsible for establishing and growing partnerships with leading mobile application publishers. The qualified Business Development Manager will work with the app developer community to help them monetize their mobile applications and increase distribution of their applications and content. The successful candidate will drive North America based partnerships with key publishers and leaders in the mobile marketplace.
You will work closely with Appia?s Marketing and Account Management team to ensure that Appia consistently exceeds overall monetization and quarterly revenue goals for Appia?s mobile advertising marketplace. You will be a key member of Appia?s business development and sales team in North America, closing business by leveraging your industry expertise, deep network of relationships and passion for the App Developer community.
Initial areas of responsibility include:
Identify and close key relationships with mobile app developer and mobile content providers.
Collaborate with Marketing to identify key partnerships and manage their acquisition through a robust sales pipeline process.
Evangelize Appia?s solutions within the mobile developer community
Manage publisher relationships to quarterly revenue and monetization targets.
Work cross-functionally to articulate and develop new Publisher partnership opportunities, aligned with Publisher and company objectives.
Contribute to the development of the North American business development plan, in conjunction with executive teams.
Evangelize the benefits of mobile advertising within the developer and mobile leadership community in North America.
Skills & Background include:
Comprehensive understanding of the mobile App Developer community in North America.
Deep relationships within the App Developer community.
Proven track record of managing a large volume of prospective clients and closing deals.
Self-starter, seeking a professional challenge and a role with enormous growth potential.
Strong communication skills with proven ability to share insights that drive results and customer value.
Outstanding teamwork, organizational and interpersonal skills, with tremendous attention to accomplishing goals.
Extremely comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth startup environment; exceptionally comfortable with ambiguity and decision-making in the absence of perfect information.
Required Experience and Education
Experience: 4 + years in Business Development
Education: BA/BS required; MBA or comparable work experience desired
Industry Experience: Developer Community, Online/Digital Media. Ad Network and/or Mobile Network
