Description:The Business Development, Payer Services is responsible for developing & administration of new payer contracting opportunities. Helps build relationships and educates payers and their decision makers on the value of partnering with Passport.
Duties:? Identify and contact prospective customers / introduce and sell Passport services and products to payers
? Work with sales, customer service and other product managers to help determine provider client expectations to deliver products that grow the partnership
? Contract negotiation
? Work closely with executive leadership to develop forecasts and business plans with data-driven insights that support strategic direction, prioritization and communication
? Participates in business planning, needs analysis and business risk assessment related to large deals
? Assists in performing industry, target company and competitor searches, evaluates potential acquisition targets
? Work collaboratively across the organization to provide analytical support to Passport leadership to drive strategy and maximize sales productivity
? Collaborates with corporate functions to evaluate various strategic opportunities.
? Participates in due diligence activities
? Coordination of travel arrangements and meetings and event planning as needed
? Develop, coordinate and consolidate agenda items and presentation materials for meetings involving internal and external parties
? Organize electronic files, data and information
? May participate or be assigned to special projects as needed
Qualifications:? Bachelor?s degree in related field (Business, MIS, Accounting), Masters/MBA in related field (Accountancy) preferred
? Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
? 2+ years experience developing and maintaining reporting tools, preferably within a financial function
? Experience in healthcare or technology a plus
? Strong analytical skills
? Advanced MS Excel skills to include; Sorts, Pivot Tables, Graphs and basic formulas, i.e., Vlookup, Exact, Trim, Countif and Sumif.
? Experienced with statistical software
? Demonstrated experience with a sales CRM tool preferable
? Demonstrated experience in exercising superior independent judgment in challenging situations where on the spot performance is required
? Strong business/finance acumen
? Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to work with all levels of staff from all backgrounds and disciplines
? Ability to work under pressure with changing and competing priorities
? Confidence working with, presenting and responding to executive-level professionals
? Ability to manage multi-task operations/projects and work in a fast-paced environment
? Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
? Strong problem solving skills
? Capable of navigating through ambiguous situations and finding solutions to complicated problems
