Qvidian, the market leader in cloud-based sales effectiveness applications has an opening for a full-time, Business Development Representative. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a high-impact role in a fast-growing company with notable customers. We are a privately-held company with offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This position will reside in our Chelmsford office.
Critical to the success of Qvidian?s sales team, the business development representative is responsible for evangelizing Qvidian?s value proposition to prospective customers, and securing their interest in further engaging with a Qvidian field sales executive.
Define and execute territory and account strategies to grow business and achieve defined goals.
Work alongside Qvidian field sales executives to proactively prospect the Qvidian Sales Playbooks & Analytics and Proposal Automation applications into target/named accounts and regionally assigned accounts. This includes: researching and identifying key account contacts; cold-calling and emailing prospects to generate initial interest in Qvidian applications; delivering qualified leads to field sales.
Follow-up on marketing-generated leads (including leads from tradeshows , webinars, and other on-going marketing programs) to deliver qualified leads to field sales.
Understand the critical "pains" of our target prospect (sales & marketing leaders/executives) ad well as the value of sales process, and articulate the value of technology to enable sales productivity and performance.
Maintain accurate and current information in Salesforce.com.
2+ years of B2B sales experience; start up and/or small company experience a plus
A ?hunter? mentality, comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and following up on incoming leads.
Outstanding communication skills -- both oral (phone) and written; must be articulate, crisp, concise
Possess excellent listening skills
Ability and willingness to learn -- and to implement and provide feedback/lessons learned -- within a fast-growing sales organization
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales objectives
