Qvidian, a market leader in cloud computing sales effectiveness applications, has an opening for a full-time, Business Development Representative, supporting our two UK field sellers. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a high-impact role in a fast-growing company with notable customers. We are a privately-held company with offices in Ohio, Massachusetts and the UK. This position will reside in a home office in the UK or in our Lowell, MA office.
Critical to the success of Qvidian?s sales team, the business development representative is responsible for evangelizing Qvidian?s value proposition to prospective customers, and securing their interest in further engaging with a Qvidian field sales executive.
Key Responsibilities
Work alongside Qvidian UK-based field sales executives to proactively prospect into target/named accounts. This includes: researching and identifying key account contacts; cold-calling and emails prospects to generate initial interest in Qvidian applications; delivering qualified leads to field sales.
Follow-up on marketing-generated leads (including leads from tradeshows, webinars, and other on-going marketing programs).
Understand the critical "pains" of our target prospect and paint the picture of what "better" looks like with Qvidian.
Maintain accurate and current information in Salesforce.com.
Requirements
3+ years of inside/business development sales experience; software or SaaS sales experience a plus
As comfortable cold-calling into accounts as following up on marketing-delivered leads
Ability to adapt selling style to differing audiences and varying buying agendas
Outstanding communication skills?both oral (phone) and written; must be articulate, crisp, concise
Possess excellent listening skills
Ability and willingness to learn?and to implement and provide feedback/lessons learned?within a fast-growing sales organization
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet sales objectives
Tenacious determined and hard-working
Committed to teamwork and personally accountable
Start up and/or small company experience
Proven ability to work successfully in a full-time telecommute/home-based environment (if based in the UK)
