Business Development Representative HighJump Software
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a central role in identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The BDR is responsible for engaging, qualifying and developing new leads through cold calling prospective customers in order to find qualified sales opportunities. The BDR builds relationships with prospects, works with them to build a business case for HighJump solutions, qualifies the prospect based on strict qualification criteria, and then passes the sales lead to the outside sales team and alliance partners when appropriate. This position works very closely with the sales team and marketing department. The BDR manages large pipelines of prospective customers and is expected to report on pipeline progress, territory development, and strategic territory accounts weekly with the leadership team.
Solid (1+ years) background in business development or inside sales, selling technology solutions in a business-to-business environment over the phone
Successful cold calling track record
Sales and results driven
Intuitive and consultative
Strong oral and written communication skills
The ability to bring potential prospects to the next step
Good energy and able to handle extended phone work (cold calling) each day
Operates well in a team environment
Open to feedback and suggestions, share ideas, successes and failures with other team members
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or Information Technology preferred
