As a Business Development Representative - OEM, you will focus on Belkin?s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business, responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining and driving sales at accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales of Belkin product or custom OEM product. Assist OEM team to optimize existing accounts and prospects. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new OEM accounts. Interface with other departments regularly to drive custom projects and general business within accounts, as well as resolve any issues that may arise.
How you?ll do it
Demonstrate an ability to build and/or establish relationships with new OEM accounts and within existing major OEM accounts including product managers, project managers, engineers, buyers, planners, etc.
Assist National Account Managers and Sales Directors with inside or outside sales calls/meetings, website and catalog analysis, and/or sales trainings.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Industrial Designers, Logistics, Planning and/or other team members when managing or helping to manage OEM custom product projects.
Provide customer recaps for all meetings and take a leadership role to ensure all action items are executed upon including delegation of assignments to channel support representatives.
What you?ll need
1+ years experience in managing and selling to B2B/DMR or Manufacturer accounts.
2+ years experience in a sales/business development position.
Product or Project Management experience a plus.
Have a good understanding and experience merchandising, training sales reps, managing and creating sales incentives and promotions, cold calling leads, scoping opportunities, and meeting with customers.
Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills required.
What you?ve done
Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales management and other departments as necessary.
Assist in optimizing profitability at each assigned account.
Review and analyze daily sales and compare actual v. projected / plan results and be prepared to present that information on a weekly basis.
Recognize and escalate any and all critical issues regarding accounts and/or company policies to management immediately.
