Position Summary:
Steelwedge is looking for a Business Development Representative that has demonstrated strong business acumen and an excellent ability to build relationships over the phone. A track record of prospecting into medium & large enterprises and positioning complex enterprise software or software-as-a-service solutions and / or applications would be an advantage but not a requirement.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Inside Sales Management and Training and is based in Pleasanton, California.
The Business Development Representative will work closely, and in collaboration with the Steelwedge Marketing and Sales organizations to follow-up on inbound leads and support outbound prospecting, profile development, qualification and engagement for the sales leadership in North American territories.
Experience in any of the following areas would be a clear advantage, although not a requirement: Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Financial Planning or Business Intelligence. Additionally, systems experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.com is a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with marketing to follow-up on all inbound leads in the allocated territories
Work closely with sales to proactively target priority accounts in specified territories and execute on account level strategy
Qualify leads according to pre-defined qualification rating scale
Schedule meetings for Area Sales Directors with qualified leads
Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly activity and qualified lead targets
Collaborate with field sales team to nurture leads to maturity
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience leveraging social media outbound calling and email to position enterprise software or software-as-a-service enterprise solutions
Strong and effective written, oral and telephone skills
Proven track record of building relationship at all levels of an organization over the phone
Skill in navigating organizations and social media to find the right contact
Time management and self-motivation skills
Results oriented sales professional
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to learn quickly and to adapt easily to change
Bachelor?s Business Degree or equivalent required.
