Business Development Representative StrongMail Systems

The Business Development Representative (BDR) bears primary responsibility for developing account opportunities from a targeted account list sufficient to meet the quarterly and yearly sales pipeline development needs that would assure attainment of quarterly and yearly revenue goals within the assigned market segments.
BDRs participate in a per-assigned-market segment (?territory?) quarterly planning process with their manager and with colleague sales executives assigned to corresponding territories, the outcome of which is the determination and ongoing review of appropriate quarterly and yearly targets.
BDRs bear primary responsibility for ensuring the pipeline development of sales executives in corresponding territories. They also participate in the development of target account lists appropriate to best ensure long term company revenue goal attainment.

Responsibilities:
Some of the responsibilities of the BDR include but are not limited to:
Daily phone calls (?cold calling,? ?warm calling?) into target accounts for the purpose of driving engagement, assessing needs, discovery of information necessary to account scoring, and promoting StrongMail brand message delivery
Use of Twitter, LinkedIn, social networks, social ?discovery? tools, and other networks and technologies that assist in the identification of target account list contacts. Target account list contacts are persons at target accounts that have a material influence on the sales cycle for StrongMail products
Email, social media outreach, local field events, national trade shows, mobile efforts, and other forms of targeted 1:1 marketing outreach efforts that are designed to increase engagement of the target accounts with StrongMail, interest/preference of the target accounts for StrongMail, discovery of relevant information about the target accounts of StrongMail, and the general processing of opportunities through the sales funnel in a way that accrues to StrongMail?s revenue goals.
Development of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports such as are designed from time to time by management that document progress toward goals along meaningful metrics.
Ongoing research and discovery of new social, sales, and marketing technologies that can help shrink the time involved in moving target accounts from StrongMail-neutral to StrongMail-positive.
Research into assigned verticals sufficient to be enable meaningful conversations with contacts at target accounts in assigned territories/vertical segments
Ability to produce realistic and attainable pipeline forecasts, reports, and other metrics documenting progress toward lead development goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree with a minimum 5 years telemarketing, inside sales, field sales, field marketing, social marketing or other account-based sales/marketing development roles
Proven success working closely outside sales forces and with target account approaches to pipeline development.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills and a keen sense of how to authentically engage prospects in conversation on line and in person.
Previous experience in digital marketing technology, specifically email, social media, mobile, or customer analytics.
Proficiency and experience with saleforce.com, at least one major marketing automation system (Marketo, Eloqua, etc.), and at least several ?sales 2.0? and/or relevant digital marketing technologies including but not limited to reachable.com, spoke.com, jigsaw, glassdoor, etc.
Ability to travel to designated trade shows and/or field marketing events up to 2 days per month as approved by management
Preferred:
Experience in and domain expertise of email and/or cross-channel marketing
Strong demonstrated competencies in developing sales presentations and target product/benefit pitches to types of prospect accounts
Experience with challenger selling training, Sandler sales training
Experience with sales 2.0 approaches such as are embodied in Aaron Ross?s Predictable Revenue
Flex time:
After 90 days, and if approved by management, the BDR may work one day per week remotely (from home office, for example).
