Plastiq is looking for a full-time business development / sales analyst to be based out of our Boston office. This position is for an immediate start. We are searching for a driven, self-motivated individual that can support our US and Canadian teams in expanding our reach in the Education, Real Estate, Tax and Country Club verticals. Plastiq is rapidly adding partners and businesses in these verticals and looking for an energetic individual to be part of the charge.
Primary responsibilities will include:
-Manage and improve the performance of our existing partners, helping prepare pitch materials for partner and merchant prospects, serve as an additional point-of-contact for our partner network, and identify potential new partnerships
-Follow-up with leads from trade shows and events and aid the business development team in closing accounts
-Field inbound calls and emails, support questions and requests and qualify and pitch prospects
-Prepare weekly reports analyzing recent wins, progress with various accounts, and goals
-Create a landscape of each of the industry Plastiq services - who supplies these industries, who are the biggest players, what are the major accounting systems / web vendors etc.
-Work closely with the marketing department to manage and create collateral for shows and events, custom materials for specific merchants, and partners
-Monitor competitor activity and write frequent updates on market trends
-Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
-Hired person will work with the entire business development team but report to the Head of Strategy & Partnerships
-Bachelor's degree required
-1-2 years experience in sales, business development, account relations or customer service a plus but not required
-Advanced understanding of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-Exceptional analytical and presentation skills
-Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to multi-task in a highly energetic, fast-paced environment with tight-deadlines
-Strong project management and organizational skills
-Outgoing, a team player and fun
