National Veterinary Associates (www.nvaonline.com) is the largest private owner of free-standing veterinary hospitals in the U.S. NVA currently owns over 180 animal hospitals in 35 states and has grown rapidly and profitably every year since its inception in 1996.
Due to our continued growth; we are seeking to hire a Business Development Specialist.
Job Responsibilities:
This position provides a unique blend of sales/business development responsibilities with exposure to business valuations and the acquisition process. This is a high profile position within the company and successful Specialists will have a meaningful impact on the company?s overall revenue growth.
Job responsibilities will include:
Originate new acquisition opportunities by identifying, prioritizing, and establishing relationships with qualified hospital acquisition targets. The objective is to evaluate the target?s fit with NVA?s acquisition strategy, introduce the target to NVA?s unique operating model, gain an understanding of the owner?s exit strategy goals, and position NVA as the preferred buyer
Build trust through professional presentation, discretion, follow through, and communicating an understanding of the veterinary industry
Effectively communicate financial analysis and valuation results
Maintain a proprietary database of acquisition targets
Coordinate meetings and all future correspondence and with targeted prospects
Partner with senior management team in executing and closing acquisitions
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with medical professionals and the ability to learn basic valuation techniques. This is an excellent fit for someone who is results-oriented and possesses initiative, drive and passion to succeed in this high-impact position.
Requirements:
Successful track record of achieving sales goals; experience in medical sales is preferred, though not required
Ability to communicate and develop rapport, both telephonically and in person
Knowledge of, or ability to learn financial statements and ability to communicate financial analysis results
Confidence solving problems and making decisions
Bachelor?s degree is required, Business related discipline is preferred
Compensation is highly competitive and includes a strong base salary with significant, uncapped bonus opportunity. We also offer medical, dental, vision and 401k.
