Business Insights Analyst, Infectious Diseases Decision Resources

Decision Resources Group (DRG) is seeking a motivated Business Insights Analyst to join our talented and vibrant Infectious Diseases team. With minimal supervision, the Business Insights Analyst will deliver high-quality research and analysis designed for key decision-makers within the biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial approach to work, experience in project management, and prior experience analyzing pharmaceutical market data, either on the vendor side or within the pharmaceutical industry. Successful candidates will be required to contribute to the corporate research output of the team and will be required to work closely alongside the therapeutic analysts.
The Business Insights Analyst role consists of three broad functions: 1) research and writing capabilities; 2) project management and execution; and 3) external interface/client interactions.
1) Research and writing capabilities:
Uses sound judgment regarding project scope, breadth of coverage and creativity in project design beyond the templates.
Write clearly, concisely, and objectively in English.
Critically analyzes and interprets complex clinical data and commercial information from a multitude of sources, and draws conclusions to build market forecasts.
Translates domain/therapeutic expertise and secondary market research data into knowledge and insights of a sufficient standard for senior decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry; effectively communicate these insights to the appropriate audience.
2) Project Management and Execution
With minimal supervision, prioritizes and manages the execution of multiple projects.
Ensures deliverables are of high quality and on time.
Identifies problems in advance and recommends solutions.
Demonstrates sound decision-making ability.
3) External interface/Client interactions
Fields client queries and ad hoc requests with minimal supervision.
Interacts with, develops and maintains productive relationships with clients.
Builds client presentations with minimal supervision and presents research insights via client meetings, webinars and analyst calls.
Shows strong grasp of complex commercial issues in communication with clients.
Interact with consulting team in order to deliver bespoke solutions for our clients
Advanced degree (MA, MBA, MS, or PhD in social sciences, life sciences or statistics)
Relevant experience in the biopharma, healthcare, market research, or financial sector is required
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and objectively in written and spoken English
Excellent attention to detail
A flexible and collaborative approach to work
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to interact and build relationships with co-workers and clients
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Global experience is a plus
Working knowledge of SPSS is a plus
