Position Summary
We're not looking for statisticians per se (though you need to be able to use SPSS, R, SAS, etc.) but for people who are experienced with using analytical tools to mine customer and survey data and can interpret the analysis to tell the story of the "what" and the "why."
You MUST have a proven track record of conducting high-quality analysis of client survey data using sound statistical methods. The Business Insights Analyst will be part of a deadline-driven program consulting team that advises on clients' strategic roadmaps or action plans based on survey results and knowledge of clients' businesses. While the person in this position will be able to run appropriate statistical analyses to drill down to root cause, summarize and explain the findings, and advise on key themes, he/she must also be able to tie them all together to create a clear overall story appropriate for both executive and business unit/functional managers. It will also be important to demonstrate the value of customer loyalty and satisfaction data by linking survey results with clients' financial, operational, and other business metrics.
Responsibilities
As a Business Insights Analyst, your role would require you to support our clients as follows:
Understand the business issues and data challenges of clients' organizations and industries
Conduct high-quality, detailed analyses of client survey data using sound statistical techniques
Synthesize data from various sources, interpret, and compile into one cohesive story
Through analysis, identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement
Articulate findings in both management reports and/or executive PowerPoint presentations
Mine client survey data using our proprietary algorithm/tools
Types of analysis required will vary but might include regression analysis, correlation analysis, (sub)partial correlation analysis, factor analysis, decision trees, CHAID, ROI, Economics of Engagement/Loyalty, financial linkage analysis (survey data to financial or other business metrics), customer value analysis (CVA), genetic algorithms, structural equation modeling, and more.
Desired Skills
While the ideal candidate does not need to be a statistician, you MUST have 1-3 years experience using SAS, SPSS, R, or other statistical software packages

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate complex details of analysis to a non-analytical audience; ability to foster credibility with an audience
Must be an enthusiastic and positive individual who enjoys interactions with others
Must be extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
Innate curiosity and desire to connect insights and gain inspiration from disparate sources
Ability to work under the constraints of strict deadlines and short turnaround times
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative field (i.e., statistics, psychology, finance)
Minimum of one year of analytical consulting experience.
