As our Business Intelligence Analyst based in Austin, TX, you will use your broad skill set, passion for data, and strong communication skills to extend the use of intelligent data across the company. Responsibilities:
Utilizing internal tools, SQL, Excel, Tableau and other reporting tools, build custom reports that will drive core business decisions
Validating the accuracy of internal and external report data
Preparing and presenting daily and weekly metrics reports for business stakeholders
Providing situation specific analyses to support business critical decisions
Identifying new business opportunities and quantifying risks
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree, ideally in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, math, or related field
3 or more years in a business analysis role
Expert at Excel
Experience with SQL
Strong analytical skill set for translating business requirements into reports
Skilled in building formulas, running totals, drill-downs, and reports with multiple data views
Ability to think strategically and to relate data to strategic decisions
Passion for data (as it relates to intellectual curiosity)
Passion for technology
A mind that seeks to optimize
Preferred Skills:
Scripting or lightweight programming skills
Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau, SAS, SPSS, R or Mathematica
Experience authoring reports in environments such as SSRS, Pentaho, Cognos or BusinessObjects
Knowledge of economics, statistics, and classical Newtonian calculus
Intellectual curiosity (wanting to know what makes things tick ? both in the sense of technology, and analytics, as it relates to our business)
Familiarity with GAAP accounting rules
Familiarity with financial markets
