Job Description
Develop automation and reporting software for Impinj's RFID tag chip manufacturing process. Expect nine-month consulting assignment working as member within the business intelligence software and test (BIST) team. Contribute to wide variety of automation, application, database, reporting, or product test systems.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of our internal business systems, ranging from manufacturing automation to quality monitoring, and develop familiarity with how they enable day-to-day operations.
- In close collaboration with team members and users of these systems, identify potential areas for improvement and take ownership of implementing the proposed solution.
- Define, design, develop, and test software using C/C++, Perl, and SQL.
- Work in Agile team environment with chip design, product engineering, software test, and quality assurance team members.
- Contribute to peers' design and coding reviews.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 3 years of related professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in C/C++ and at least one scripting language, preferably Perl.
- Experience with Windows Visual Studio development environment and tools.
- Experience with software development methodologies and Subversion source control tools.
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly and be responsible for business-critical code bases while working closely with developers and other users.
- Solid problem solving, data analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
- Understanding of RF/analog silicon chip products and test methodologies.
- Experience creating large-scale process automation systems.
- Knowledge of TSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
