Business Intelligence Developer Empirix

The successful BI Developer will join a small established R&D team in the Empirix office in Edinburgh.

OPPORTUNITY

We seek a BI Developer to join an outstanding team working in a cutting edge domain. The Edinburgh R&D team is responsible for design, development and enhancement of Empirix Business Intelligence Solutions for next generation network performance monitoring products. We?re looking for someone who can help us create and test new ETL packages and OLAP cubes to address new opportunities for our solutions deployed at our telecom service provider customers. Our technology is based around the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 platform and we also make use of C#.

In addition to the development and test activities the engineer will support the introduction of new products to the market. This will involve working with both our internal and external customers which requires good communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS


Educated to degree level in computing or other scientific discipline
Strong SQL knowledge
Experience in Data Modeling
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (or MS SQLS 2005) including SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
Experience in Microsoft .NET development in C#
Good communication skills
Desirable but not essential:
Any telecoms domain knowledge
Experience in Data Mining
