We?re looking for a strategic thinker and analytical wizard to partner with the Escapes General Manager and the Escapes leadership team. Our ideal candidate should be an experienced online travel thinker who thrives on a fast-paced environment and understands the needs of travel merchants and the travel consumer. Candidates should have a strong background analyzing problems with a data-driven mindset. Exceptional candidates will be able to act quickly by adding that ?gut? feeling that can only be cultivated through years in the travel space.
The Business Analyst plays a key role within LivingSocial?s travel (Escapes) division, overseeing all data and analytical activities, email targeting and being the travel divisions? commercial lead on a range of promotional and partnership activities.
? Work closely with the GM of Escapes and other senior members of the Escapes team
? Be the go-to person for all reporting, including weekly KPI reports, as well as in-depth analysis of deals, merchants, email, conversion, web traffic, and promotions.
? Support the North America sales leaders with their analytical needs. Specifically, this individual will assist with compensation planning design, sales spiffs, territory and revenue planning as well as detailed market workouts.
? Own the bi-weekly Escapes email promotion and define the geographical targeting of our partner promotions, working with both sales and operations teams.
? In addition, work with data science to ensure that the personalization component of the bi-weekly Escapes email is effective and evolving
? Work closely with the Escapes Merchandising Manager and Inventory Coordinator to ensure that the best content appears regularly in travel campaigns, content is seasonally driven and content integrates into existing company wide campaigns
? Serve as the main point of contact in the travel division for the affiliate team. Ensure that our affiliate campaigns are profitable, contain the right content and that complete reporting is in place.
? 5+ years experience in ecommerce and/or travel analytics
? Bachelor?s degree in business or related field
? Proven ability working with large data sets; must have a data driven approach to solving problems, with very strong quantitative skills and structured problem-solving capability.
? Experience using Google Analytics and Salesforce would be advantageous
? Strong quantitative, verbal & written skills with the ability to articulate a message rationally and concisely
