POSITION: Director, Business and Operations
SUMMARY: The Director of Business and Operations primary role is as trusted advisor and â€œright handâ€ to VP, Global Channels and Alliances in terms of day-to-day channel sales operations, with a particular focus on Channel Partner/Channel Sales & Alliance Partner metrics and measurements, Channel operations metrics and measurements, publishing Partner metrics, a Channel Operations dashboard and a monthly executive report. This role will be the owner of all aspects, requirements, design, implementation and maintenance of Infor's Partner Relationship Management System (PRMS or whatever) for the Infor partner community and Infor partner management teams. This position also has responsibility for the design and development of ancillary partner programs/systems.
This may include managing and/or providing direction to a team of Channel Operations professionals who work with the channel sales teams and our Partner community, the facilitating and monitoring of the enablement and rollout of operations initiatives, processes and policies. It may also include the design, development and implementation of appropriate legal document necessary for the execution of partner programs and used by Channel Operations and Channel Management and any contract processing, data capture and data publication of Partner information to other functional organizations in Infor. Additional areas would include any tools, forms, aids, videos, templates or other materials that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Partners doing business with Infor. Director of Business and Operations is also responsible for providing reporting and analysis to the Channel Sales Leadership team on sales pipeline, sales performance, and other key metrics. This role also supports the Leadership team on other projects as needed including Channel Rules of Engagement, Segmentation, Partner coverage models, Partner business
The candidate is accountable for driving CRM system data integrity (Salesforce.com) and accountability with Channel Sales Managers and Partners to ensure reporting and metrics are accurate and reliable. This requires excellent negotiation and communication skills to both be an advisor and advocate to the Channel sales teams, Partner community, Legal team and additional functional departments or groups within Infor. The individual will also be the person who initially reviews disputes between Channel Management and Direct Sales regarding rules of engagement related to various sales programs or situations, and either drives resolution and/or performs investigative work to present a recommendation regarding to how to resolve the conflict between the sales teams. Additionally, this individual will work with channel sales management to analyze performance and trends for products, geographies and industry verticals, and recommend areas for improvement to the channel sales team and/or operations management.
This position requires a strong communicator who can lead through coaching, a facilitator for resolving issues or challenges both within the team and between the team and other departments, coordinator of work flow and problem solver. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and able to adjust quickly in a rapidly growing and dynamic group. The candidate must be comfortable and effective in communicating and presenting to senior management. Superior planning and analytical skills are a must.
