Job Description
Business/Senior Consultant to provide analysis of customer and technical requirements for highly specialized financial systems and to provide software based solution to meet US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) needs. The role also requires configuration of treasury front office and risk management functionality to fulfill those requirements.
Duties Include:
Liaise with account staff, front office and back office staff to gather business requirements.
Provide accurate analysis of issues with appropriate solutions to meet customer requirements.
Configure the application to represent the customer?s business and functional requirements.
Provide creative and practical solutions to facilitate client processes and smooth project implementation.
Create and manage business requirements and functional specifications as part of the customization process.
Provide planning, documentation and execution of supporting test cases.
Plan, perform and document testing of new and existing functionality to requirements.
Provide functional and operational analysis and review to identify interim solutions to compensate for systems gaps resulting from the lag times from when business products, accounting requirements, MIS information changes are first identified and introduced.
Business Process Modeling, Process Floor/Data Flow Modeling, Uses Cases
Guide and educate the client on the system?s reporting capabilities and application interface to the General Ledger (GL)
Drive client focus to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
Deliver training to clients.
Required Skills
Bachelor?s degree (or equiv. foreign degree) in finance, accounting, business management, economics or related, plus 5 years experience working with financial management systems for financial institutions or large corporations, including back office & front office functions.
Required Experience
Experience must include:
5 years in requirements gathering, system and process issue research, development and testing in the following areas for large banking and corporate environments: front office functions (trade booking, FX, Money Market, Securities & derivative products), back office operations (confirmation & settlements) and product control / financial control functions involving PL valuation, risk, price and position data.
5 years of experience providing front-to-back functional and operation analysis to customize financial and risk management systems for front office, risk, account and back office functions to support business re-engineering initiatives.
5 years experience in system development life cycle on financial system implementation projects including project planning, system analysis, requirements definition, systems design/workflow, implementation, integration testing, user acceptance, installation, deployment, maintenance and remediation.
5 years experience in developing MIS reporting?accounting, risk, profit and loss and APIs to consolidate and distribute data to downstream systems.
Experience in defining workflows and procedures for the various areas.
Experience in the development of conversion and implementation strategies.
Experience in development of automated query programs (SQL).
Position requires approx. 90% travel. Experience may be gained concurrently.
