Business System Analyst Prolific Giving, Inc.
We are looking for an experienced Business System Analyst to manage business systems, programs, and projects which support PGI?s enterprise-wide processes, and to provide support to cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. You should have a full understanding of web and mobile applications development, and be willing to work alongside the VP of Operations in a tactically-oriented position to help PGI scale up and grow.

Responsibilities:
Define and document the functional deliverables of the software development life cycle (process flows, requirements, functional designs, etc.) and enforce proper change request management procedures, redefining as necessary, to ensure proper scope control.
Create business process and application flow diagrams, and supporting business and technical documents.
Create function documents, analysis approaches, test plans, and configurations.
Document business requirements and undertake business analysis to identify appropriate solutions to business challenges.
Conduct needs assessments with stakeholders and partners to identify business and marketing requirements to translate into project plans.
Serve as the interface between business and technical groups in defining system requirements.
Coordinate with developers and other business stakeholders to achieve consensus and implement changes.
Interpret business rules and requirements for development team.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and seek out ways to improve their productivity.
Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects.
Assist in the development or modification of the products to meet changing demands of a dynamic company.
Handle assignments that can be very complex in nature where personal judgment is required for successful problem resolution.
Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing technology environment.
Seek out new and innovative solutions to technology issues faced by our customers.
Qualifications:
BA or BS in Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degrees and experience in an Approvals Manager role are preferred.
3-5 years of production support and implementation experience.
Ability to quickly diagnose and solve system problems.
Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support consulting skills, including team facilitation and business case justification.
Solid written and oral communication skills, ability to present ideas in user friendly language, and a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under stringent time restraints.
Technical Knowledge: PHP, MySQL, MVC Frameworks, Javscript, Ajax.
Extensive knowledge of business issues and processes as well as IT resources and enabling technologies.
