Business Systems Analyst (B14) Appriss
Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
oBachelor?s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o3-5 years of related work experience, understand and possess the ability to apply project life-cycle methodology.
oExperience defining software requirements, writing use cases, functional specifications and enhancement requests, and creating prototypes.
oDemonstrated experience writing stories and epics in an Agile development environment
oStrong analytical background.
oExperience working in Agile tools (such as Jira)
oExperience with multiple platforms; including mainframe and client/server or web and mobile.
oExcellent verbal and written communication skill, including strong questioning and listening skills; ability to look beyond obvious answers, and understand the impact on other areas is required.
Helpful / Preferred
oProfessional Registration and/or Master?s degree.
oSCRUM or Agile Certifications preferred
oExperience with JIRA and Basalmiq preferred.
oExperience with MS Office, Visio, Visual Basic, SQL, and Linux environment preferred.
