A core part of NaviNet?s business is developing sophisticated Provider Portal solutions for our payer customers. These solutions leverage a flexible multi-payer platform and drawon a combination of configurable product assets, standard design patterns and custom solutions. Solutions are delivered for payer customers by discreet project teams via a Statement of Work process.
The Systems Analyst is a core member of the project team and works directly with NaviNet customers and internal stakeholders to define project requirements, drive solution design and develop functional specifications for software features for a given project. As the project team?s requirements and solution owner, the Systems Analyst provides support to both the NaviNet and customer teams throughout the software development life cycle.
Requirements gathering/elicitation, definition, documentation and management with both external clients and internal stakeholders.
Define solutions with the following considerations:
Customer business needs and objective.
Positive end user experience.
Operational Needs and Requirements for both the customer and NaviNet.
Translate requirements into use cases, solution concepts, user stories and the functional specification that describes the solution to be built by the NaviNet Team.
Collaborate with NaviNet?s Product Management and Usability Teams to assure adherence to NaviNet best practices in solution design.
As part of the Statement of Work process, work with the Project Manager to:
Develop scoping statements
Support feature estimation and prioritization
Support project planning and initial risk identification
As necessary, lead Joint Application Design and review sessions with external clients and internal stakeholders to validate that solutions will satisfy customer requirements.
As the requirements and solution owner, actively support the NaviNet and client Project Teams through implementation. This includes supporting the design, build, testing and deployment phases of the SDLC:
Resolving design and requirements issues uncovered by the team during the solution build and testing phases.
Support the Project Manager in issue identification/resolution and risk identification and mitigation.
Work with the Project Manager and other team members to manage project scope as defined in the project charter or SOW.
Actively support the customer through the User Acceptance Testing Phase by evaluating incoming defects and triaging them to the NaviNet Team back to the customer as appropriate.
Support release readiness activities and post-deployment support processes.
Lead solution release / transition to NaviNet Operational Support Teams.
Develop trust-based relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders.

From time to time the Systems Analysts may have opportunities to support:
Cross functional support of Project Team activities, as required.
Interviewing of potential new Delivery Services Team members.
Coaching/mentoring of new employees.
Supporting the annual account planning and road mapping process.
Supporting Business Development activities ranging from partnership evaluations to supporting NaviNet?s Payer Sales Team.

Bachelor?s degree in a technical or business discipline.
5 + years experience gathering and managing functional and non-functional requirements that directly translate to software solution designs.
Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure while managing multiple competing projects and priorities.
Highly motivated to collaborate and to enable others to be successful.
Strong desire and ability to learn new concepts.
Aptitude forfiguring out technical concepts and challenges, strong problem solving skills.
Direct experience working as part of a project team executing the following types of projects:
Defining, designing and implementing custom software solutions.
Implementing and configuring enterprise software solutions.
Integrating disparate best of breed solutions.
Experience working with customers in rapid-prototype based customer requirement gathering techniques and methods.
Ability to turn ambiguous and potentially conflicting requirements into clearly defined solutions.
Experience creating detailed functional specifications for use by both technical and non-technical readers.
Excellent presentation and communication skills including strong business and technical writing.
Excellent attention to detail and follow through.
Knowledge of business process development and business process design/redesign.
Ability to create fact-based business recommendations.
Ability to interact successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization and to develop relationships.
Ability to facilitate meetings with a clear goal and participation of appropriate team members and stakeholders.
Proficient user of MS Office Suite including Visio and Project.
Familiar with Agile and Lean SDLC?s.
In addition to the above requirements, specific skills in any of following areas are highly desirable:
Knowledge of provider office systems (Practice Management, EMR, etc.) and workflows.
Knowledge of health care business transactions, including Member Eligibility and Benefits, Referral and Authorization management, Claim EDI, and Formulary/Pharmacy management.
Experience with X12 EDI standards in a healthcare setting.
Experience working in a multi-trading partner e-commerce integration environment.
Basic experience with HTML and XML editors as well as basic SQL based query construction.
Consulting background as an analyst or senior analyst with a national firm in healthcare IT.
