The Business Systems Analyst defines the requirements and computer solutions to resolve business-related problems, to meet strategic organizational goals. This individual serves a role in the requirements, design, implementation and support of new and existing applications.
Identifies, defines, records and communicates user and functional requirements for necessary software, data storage and retention, or workflow and business process changes.
Performs investigational analysis and evaluation to determine project or application feasibility.
Develops cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth, including the development of alternatives and recommendations for new acquisitions or changes to existing applications or deliverables.
User approvals, charts and reports for use in managing an assigned project.
Develops time schedules, conversion, and test procedures for all aspects of a system implementation, from manual handling through computer processing.
Execution of Test cases in the role of a quality analyst as project / resource needs arise
Prepares and maintains documentation, including procedures, system specifications, technical documentation, computer training materials and user documentation.
Prepares feasibility studies; recommends and establishes program objectives, priorities and schedules in conjunction with user and functional requirements and conducts end-user training, as needed, for assigned applications.
Ability to prioritize independently, multiple requests and system requirements to meet the organizational goals.
A degree in business systems, computing or related field or combination or education and experience is necessary. BS / MBA
Required Work Experience:
Achievement-oriented, excellent computer, communication, analytical and problem solving skills in a large data environment.
5+ years in a BA role, preferably in the CPG / Market Research industry.
Direct Client interaction experiences are a plus. Proven ability to communicate effectively with displayed levels of knowledge, skills and responsibilities
Exposure to Agile methodology and fast moving development cycle, including driving requirements sessions.
Strong SQL and Relational database experience is required, with the ability and the desire to handle extensive data analysis.
Programming experience is a plus.
R&D - Desire to create POC sample deliverables and mockups based on business needs and limited requirements, with the ability to evaluate the potential needs of our clients.
Strong MS-Office skillset, specifically with Excel and Access
A work ethic of dependability through punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability to perform as an efficient, detail oriented team player.
Demonstrated experience with current systems analysis principles, methods, procedures, practices, tools and techniques and project management principles.
