SourceMedical is currently seeking a Business Systems Designer / Analyst for its location in Branford, CT.
Summary of Position:
As a BA/BSD, you will be a key member of Source Medical?s Product Development Team with the overall responsibility for deliverables and projects related to the definition, development, and release of Source Medical?s software application. You will focus on designing end-to-end workflows and related system functionality that reflect the needs of SourceMedical?s customers and that follow regulatory requirements and clinical best practices.
To meet these objectives, you will identify, research, analyze, validate and document business and functional requirements. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent project management and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as a high-performing team member.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Conduct analysis and research resulting in accurate and detailed business and functional requirements. Translate analysis and research data into valid use cases, business requirements, product specifications/definitions, design workflows (for improved user experience) that can be implemented by Developers.
2. Interact with users of the application (both internal and external) to understand how the product features would be used in a real environment for new products as well as enhancements.
3. Take full end-to-end ownership of product being developed and work closely with the engineers to build the required product/feature.
4. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Qualifications:
--Experience in Healthcare industry is required. Experience in Inpatient Hospital management products and Electronic Health Records is desirable.
-- Effective interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff levels
--Candidates must also be detail-oriented, have good organizational skills, possess strong leadership, follow-through and analytical skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess strong collaboration and facilitation skills
--The ideal candidate will also have:
2-5 years of demonstrated work experience evaluating, defining and implementing deliverables for cross-functional, large-scale projects
Demonstrated ability in translating business and functional requirements into requirement documentation, use cases, designing workflows and creating functional specifications using industry-standard product development documentation processes
Demonstrated ability to successfully evaluate requirements with varying levels of complexity and communicate those requirements to technical audiences
Experience in contributing to the design of GUI and usability concepts that result in an intuitive user experience
Demonstrated experience of owning the definition, planning, development and deployment of mission critical applications.
A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
Travel Requirements:
--less than 25% travel may be required, but travel will not be routine
