DescriptionIn this role as a Technician, you will be asked to coordinate and provide hands-on installation and service of both Business Systems and Network services; having advanced knowledge of BST and network products. This is a leadership level position, driving a company vehicle and leading all related activity associated with managing small to large multi-site installations that could take multiple days while serving as a liaison between customer and the company. There are no direct reports. This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and an indirect impact on sales and is a complex position involving both detailed technical skills and customer service skills. This position requires continuous learning on the part of the technician and once on board, will require continuous working knowledge of our products, as well as learning new systems and updates for all products.
?Program, install and maintain advanced business telecommunications equipment and network services at customer?s location.
?Ensures all work is completed and tested with the customer prior to leaving customer site.
?Ensures timeframes for installation or repair are met.
?Keeps customer and management informed of progress made or issues that arise on job site.
?Updates dispatch on progress of jobs and closes tickets
?Follows inventory control guidelines, including maintaining appropriate levels of van stock and accurately reporting inventory used
?Meets company Personal Appearance Policy requirements
?Meets company safety policy requirements, including use of ladders, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing
Requirements
MINIMUM Hands-on Experience:
?Must have at least 4years in the Telecom Industry
?High School diploma, or GED with Trade/Vo-tech degree
?At least 4 years with the installation/Service of PBX systems
?Installation/service of advanced level applications including PC?s/Servers, Switches
?Valid Driver?s license and a clean driving record
?Ability to receive and/or hold Restricted Energy License
Preferred :
?Skill to operate various testing equipment
?Maintanin advanced knowledge of personal computers/operating systems
?Experience with Customer Care/Service
