HowAboutWe for Couples makes it easy for a couple to have meaningful, shared experiences together, again and again. Each month, members receive a new DateBook ? a curated catalogue of HowAboutWe Dates, hand-picked for their quality and originality ? choose the ones they like? and go.
The Date Report provides engaging, entertaining and enlightening content about dating and relationships. It is the home of all content-oriented initiatives carried out by the HowAboutWe brand.

We are looking for an outgoing, talented and strategic individual to drive our national product sales efforts for HowAboutWe for Couples. This role would be responsible for sourcing new and innovative products that appeal to our demographic. The Buyer will find and procure these awesome products negotiating favorable terms for HowAboutWe for Couples to get these brands/products in front of our sought-after customer base. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing, venture-backed startup and be an integral part of the launch of a new feature for this exciting product.
Find and secure products that are on brand for the HowAboutWe for Couples Store Negotiate terms and margins Maintain strong ongoing relationships with our product vendors
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals Staying current on industry trends across the consumer goods space
Who We?re Looking For
You have a persistent, ?shark? personality combined with polish, poise and a team-player attitude
You stay ahead of industry trends in all areas of lifestyle: electronics, food and wine, health and beauty, apparel, home decor and fitness
You have a proven track record of success in building an extensive set of partnerships for wholesalers and retailer
You understand the ins and outs of an ecommerce model and how to choose the right products/partners for success
You bring with you a rolodex of top-tier vendor and partner relationships.
You are excited to work with the HowAboutWe team to build a company that transforms the way people find and sustain love online and offline.
You have off-the-charts ambition, are willing to take risks, and are motivated by the fast paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial world.
You are a highly analytical thinker, have tremendous communication and people skills and are comfortable shifting back and forth between ?pitch mode? and ?deep dive analysis mode.?
You do an exceptional job on any and all tasks, are highly organized, and detail-oriented. You are self-motivated and can manage multiple workflows and prioritize your own time.
2 to 5 year of experience as a Buyer and/or in a National Products Sales position
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Significant exposure to internet and e-commerce products
Experience with SalesForce.com or other CRM tool preferred
Understanding of the online retail space
