Responsibilities:
Support mission critical SaaS backend.
Design, develop and maintain client server architecture using C in UNIX/Linux environment
Work independently with minimal supervision to solve engineering problems
Work with the Team Lead and other team members to produce the design, design documentation, conduct design reviews, accommodate feedback and implement the design in the timely manner following coding guidelines and Agile development methodology.
Required Skills:
Seasoned trouble-shooter with experience maintaining a production environment.
Clear, concise communicator.
Believes in issue ownership.
Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX system level API, strong background in writing network applications.
Expert level skills in C programming, POSIX API (including usage of multi-threading constructs)
Experience in Client/Server architecture and distributed systems development is essential.
Proven experience delivering production level projects that are used by a large number of users.
Strong practical knowledge of network protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, and HTTP.
Desired Skills:
Proven experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages (C++, Java, etc)
Hands on experience with functional programming languages such as Erlang is a big plus
Solid understanding of network security including SSL (OpenSSL)
Experience developing autonomous agents and multi-agent systems is a plus
Strong relational database skills (Any experience with MySQL is a plus)
Windows systems internals a plus
Education Requirements:
BS in CS, CE, EE or equivalent field is desired but not required.
