Quanterix plans to launch the Simoa system in 2013. To continue our solid growth, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated C# Developer to join our Software Engineering Group. If you have experience developing high quality software applications using C# and the .NET technology this could be a very exciting position for you.
Job Description:
Within this position, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to exercise all aspects of software development from day one, starting with evaluating internal customer needs to planning, designing, implementing and testing software that supports world-leading research in single molecule detection. The individual will work with the latest technology used to build diagnostic instruments, closely interacting with scientists to develop and maintain research tools to support their work. The software engineer will work on implementing, optimizing and converting existing image processing algorithms using C# to process image data acquired by the instrument. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants a hands-on and challenging experience developing software solutions for a game-changing technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Prioritize, create, and own features for our single molecule diagnostics product.
Work with terabytes of microscopy image data.
Design new kinds of analytics to provide valuable insight into data that we acquire.
Solve challenging problems in algorithms, scalability, performance, and API design.
Participate in peer code reviews.
Design and implement end-user workflows and experiences.
Qualifications:
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience developing readable, fast-performing code using C# and .NET technology
Programming experience as part of a team.
Experience writing server and client/UI code.
Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
Experience with source control and bug tracking.
Experience developing algorithms to efficiently process large data.
Self-starting, detail-oriented developer with good teamwork and communication skills.
Understand concurrent computing principles and programming in multi-threaded environments.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology is a plus.
Previous work with fluorescence imaging, microscopy data or scientific computing is a plus.
Mathematical background is a big plus.
Experience with ImageJ is a plus.
