Cable Manufacturing and Development Technician Chromis Fiberoptics
Chromis Fiberoptics has an immediate opening for a cable manufacturing and development technician. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and development of numerous cable products based on plastic optical fibers. Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of cable manufacturing lines, maintaining a related quality control system, and managing a small production workforce.Experience and education in areas related to manufacturing are a requirement. Experience and training in extrusion and other plastics manufacturing are highly desirable, but not required. Basic electrical and machine tool skills are also a requirement. An Associates Degree in Engineering technology or related field is expected, but other applicants with relevant backgrounds will also be considered.

Product Operator
Chromis Fiberoptics has an immediate opening for a production operator in our polymer optical fiber manufacturing organization. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating extrusion manufacturing equipment and/or optical measurement equipment. Position will be approximately half-time, with an expectation of conversion to full-time in 3-6 months.
Production experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment is required, preferably in the area of optical communications. Excellent references from previous employers are a must. The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule, with the ability to work nights or extended hours on an occasional basis. An associates or technical degree is desirable, but not required.
