CAD Designer - Battery Systems Tesla Motors

Description
Tesla Motors is seeking a highly motivated, seasoned CAD designer or engineer with a strong background in CAD, 2D drawings and 3D modeling. This individual will work with other engineers to turn concepts into solid models, assemblies and drawings.. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on key technologies of an extremely exciting product.

Qualifications:
At least 5 years recent experience working in CAD
At least 5 years recent experience working with GD&T
Experience with assemblies, multi-model links, design in context
Experience with detailed drafting and modeling
Good interpersonal skills and ability to train others
Experience with CATIA V5 is a strong plus
Experience with SolidWorks is a plus
Experience with SmarTeam is a plus
Automotive experience is a plus
FEA experience is a plus
Sheet metal, plastics, casting design or manufacturing experience a plus

Responsibilities:
Understand and apply GD&T to ensure proper execution of designs
Generate 2D drawings in CATIA
Generate 3D models in CATIA
Manage large assemblies in CATIA
Train and support peers less experienced with CATIA
Regenerate existing CAD models from SolidWorks to CATIA
