Camera Calibration Software Engineer Sys004
Pelican Imaging is looking for a Camera Calibration Software Engineer to assist in the development of characterization and analysis software for our cutting edge Array Camera technology. You will be responsible for development of ultra reliable camera evaluation/calibration software for high volume manufacturing. You will interact directly with our manufacturing partners to assist and guide in the manufacture of Pelican Imaging Array Cameras through delivery of high reliability, highly optimized software components and methodologies. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of test environments and methodologies for internal camera testing and characterization tools in support of advance research and development activities.
Responsibilities
? Software development of applications and libraries for calibrating Pelican Imaging Array Cameras
? Deployment and continued support of calibration software at our manufacturing partner's facilities
? Development of internal analysis and characterization tools
? Lab functionality/capability/automation development
Requirements
? BS/MS/PhD CS, EE, OE or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience
? Prior experience in evaluating and characterizing image quality of digital cameras and/or sensors.
? Hands-on practice in design verification of miniaturized objectives, image sensors and camera modules using existing
characterization setups and procedures
? Vast experience with optical laboratory bench test equipment
? Good software skills (LabView, Matlab, Java, C/C++, VB)
? Understanding of data analysis and statistics for Design of Experiments
? Effective oral and written communications skills
? Multidisciplinary team player
Desirable
? Hands-on ability with design, development, performing and validation of new setups and procedures for
camera characterization
? Zemax or other optical design program experience
? Knowledge in camera module packaging technologies
